Supporting companies challenging the Humans In Space Challenge 2025, which aims to develop new medical devices for space

We provided various advice and support to the Indian startup OUI Medical, which is participating in the Humans In Space Challenge 2025, regarding medical needs in space and the requirements for medical equipment.

▪️2025 Humans In Space Challenge

Humans In Space Challenge is a global space business competition supporting startups and researchers tackling healthcare challenges associated with deep space human exploration, as well as solving terrestrial medical issues through space utilization. Our company has partnered with HIS since last year and served as a judge for the final pitch at IAC 2024.

OUI Medical, led by CEO and surgeon Dr. Adarsh M Patil, developed the innovative P-Scope device, which enables observation of the abdominal cavity under local anesthesia. Aiming to address acute medical conditions in space, they participated in the HIS and successfully advanced to the second round, where only 17 startups & researchers worldwide were selected. While they did not make it to the final 6, they successfully showcased their technology globally, leading to new investment opportunities.

Leveraging our expertise in space medicine, we will continue to provide ongoing support to startups and researchers challenging new medical frontiers in space.
