Research Presentation on “Spaceflight-Induced Spinal Cord Injury” at the Japanese Society for Spinal Cord Disorders

On November 17, 2023, Dr. Goto presented a study on “Spaceflight Induced Spinal Cord Injury” based on the latest literature review at the Japanese Society of Spinal Cord Disorders and Related Disorders.

It has been pointed out that spaceflight can cause lower back and back pain, herniated discs, and may also cause spinal cord injury. The causes are still largely unknown, and we will continue to track future research.
